Laurus Software
I am pleased to announce that we have rebranded our site as Laurus Software, a subsidiary of Laurus Media. Our software development and hosting services will be moved to Laurus Media, and here at Laurus Software we will focus on selling our Windows desktop application and Web 2.0 software.

Server Migration
Laurus Media just finished migrating all its websites over to a new dedicated server, we were offline for the past 24 hours. The new server is located in the London Docklands and promises a faster connection as well as quicker processing.

This has kept our staff busy, we are still in the process of securing the server and making sure everything works as it should. Our developers are still busy working on our next release, the Laurus MP3 Search script and it should be released soon after being tested and having any bugs rolled out.

Laurus MP3 Search Update
We have made a number of changes to the Laurus MP3 Search script.

• Firstly, the most noticeable. Advertisements have been added too the pages, these have been filled using standard sized Google Adsense ads on the demo. The advertisements can be disabled and changed using the administration panel.
• The search form on the index page now has a search suggestion feature using AJAX which lists a number of popular artists.
• Above the search form on the index page there is an artist listing, clicking each of the letters lists a number of different artists. We hope this will help with SEO and also help your visitors find artists.
• On the footer of every page, there are to boxes; the first one shows the top ten songs which are retrieved using Yahoo's Music API, and the second box shows the last 30 searches.
  

Laurus Media Launched
We are pleased to announce that the Laurus Media website has now been launched to customers. Not all pages are completed yet, but due to demand of our Short URL script we have decided to release the website early and start accepting orders.

Besides our URL shortening script we are also currently in the process of developing an advanced music search engine script with playlist features.
